A chartered financial planner, David is recognised as one of the industry’s leading technical experts and is one of the most qualified financial advisers in the UK. David joined Xentum in 2007 and gives comprehensive insight into all aspects of financial advice and financial planning, from investments to tax planning.
Pensions advice starts with the Chancellor’s budget, which David deciphers, and then applies on a personal level to find out how it impacts on each of our clients. Outside of his role as a pensions specialist, David is responsible for overseeing the advice provided at Xentum, mentoring the advisers/paraplanners and dealing with all other technical matters.
“My job is to make something that is very complex easy to understand. The satisfaction in my job comes from knowing that I can add real value and make a genuine difference. Some clients come to us without a financial plan. When they have their ‘lightbulb moment’ and realise that we can help them with their ISAs, pensions, cash flow planning, and making sure they end up in a great position – that’s incredibly rewarding.”
To always do what’s right for our clients and never recommend anything he wouldn’t be comfortable using himself.
Investments are an important part of what we do in the context of the overall picture. Most of our time is spent managing people’s money; making sure it works as hard as possible. First, we build a picture of where you are today in financial terms, then we look to where you’d like to be. Once we know that, we’ll build you a bespoke plan that will help you to realise your financial goals.
We strongly believe that financial advice should be available to anyone who wants it, and we’ll help wherever we can. As long as we think we can make a difference to your financial security we will find a way of working that works for you.
We have been in the marketplace for 13 years, we have a proven track record and have grown – and helped our clients to grow – through the recession. Our team have a range of specialisms but we all understand people’s concerns, know the financial markets inside out, and make people’s money work harder on a daily basis.
